Moonprint’s community involvement is aimed, inter alia, to establish credibility for South Africa in the international environmental-economic milieu. Besides regular cleanup projects, Moonprint helps to establish permanent recycling facilities in public spaces and thus accelerate the entry of young entrepreneurs in the environment sector.

Our goal is to work towards a greener, cleaner South Africa by equipping young people with the necessary skills and technical support, thus ensuring visible and tangible empowerment, endeavouring to:

• Create awareness of and supply information about the dominant imperative for recycling

• Organize hands-on activities (around music concerts and other major events) to

• Facilitate tree planting and veggie gardens in communities trough waste management co-operatives enterprises

• Install permanent recycling facilities and  deploy waste management resources, which will ensure that communities take-up and use environmental awareness programmes for socio-economic development; and

With the collaborative assistance of Eskom and its EnerKey programme, EMC, BMF, Controlesa Youth Wing, Eskom,

UJ and Indalo Yethu, Moonprint is working towards rolling out visible and sustainable recycling programmes nationwide.
